Donald Radley's Obituary
Donald T. Radley, age 85, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was born on November 9, 1930, the son of Ted and Mary Radley in Oshkosh. He attended Sacred Heart School, and graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1948. He served his Country in the US Army from 1948-1951 and was in the Korean Conflict from 1950-1951.
His career was spent as a lineman for Wisconsin Bell from 1951 until his retirement in 1991. He also worked for the US Post Office, and was a bartender at Tad's for many years.
In February 16, 1953 he married Alice Ihlenfeldt in Norman, Wisconsin. Together they had 4 children. Alice preceeded him in death in December of 1974.
In 1991, he married Joyce Wilcox. They enjoyed many years together traveling, golfing, going to the casino, and raising their furry children. She preceeded him in death in December of 2014.
Donald was also preceeded in death by his parents, Ted and Mary Radley, and two brothers, Melvin and Roger Radley.
Donald had many interests during his life including sports, in which he played many. He also enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, and sheepshead with his friends and family. He was a member of the KB Club and the Elks Club for many years. Donald had a unmatched sense of humor and shared that humor with anyone he came into contact with.
He will be so greatly missed by his children, Mark (Jeanne) Radley, Pam (Greg) Lisbeth, Kim (Scott) Wara, and Karen (Cary) Witt. His grandchildren, Marianne and Alicia Radley, Nathan Lisbeth and Amanda (Steve) Ubbelohde, April (fiance Nick) and Lindsey Wara, Jeff (Amy) Hill and Mike (Cheri) Kupczyk. He is further survived by great grandchildren, Evan and Emma Ubbelohde and Hope and Brayden Kupczyk. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Radley. And lastly, he is survived by his ever loyal, furry companion Rotten Riley Radley.
Dad, you have raised a fine family in which your legacy will always continue, and you have taught us the value of hard work and the importance of family in which we will never forget.
