Donald J. Schaffer's Obituary
Donald James Schaffer, age 53 of Oshkosh, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 in his home. On MAy 10, 1957 he was born in Oshkosh, the son of Harold and Clara (Wilson) Schaffer. He was a foreman at Fox Valley Tree Service. A baptized Catholic, he enjoyed sky diving with his father and brothers. He also enjoyed remodeling and was a machine designer and an excellent welder. Survivors include his parents of Oshkosh; his two sisters: Theresa (Ronald) Washburn and Joan (Steve) Habeck and his brother: Sam (Terri) Schaffer all of Oshkosh; his nieces: Tonia (Eric) Sawicki, Kristi (William Kimote an Katie Habeck all of Oshkosh and a special nephew: SSgt. Philip Schoeneuer in Afghanistan and Iraq. Private services will be held.
