Donald M. Schlaak's Obituary
Donald M. Schlaak, age 92, of Oshkosh passed away on Saturday morning September 12, 2015 at Bethel Home. He was born in Oshkosh on May 6, 1923 the son of August and Emma (Otto) Schlaak. He married Patricia Rhyner on November 21, 1954. He served his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed at Winnebago Mental Health Center for many years. Donald is survived by his son; David Schlaak of Wheeling, IL. Two daughters; Paula (Mike) Soll and Diane Penzenstadler all of Oshkosh. Five grandchildren; Bryan, Christa, Zachary, Michael and Casey. Two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia in 2004, one daughter; Patricia Mueller in 2006, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 15, 2015 at 12 noon at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home at 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Rev. Tim Greenwald will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service. Committal services will be held at Lake View Cemetery. A special thank you to the staff at Arborview, Aurora VNA, and Bethel Home especially nurse Alice.
