Donald Arthur Simons' Obituary
Donald A. Simons, age 89, of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born on February 7, 1933 in Two Rivers, a son of the late Harold and Ethel (Krueger) Simons. He served his country in the US Navy. Don married the former Dorothy Kunz on November 24, 1956 in Two Rivers. Don was very active in Boy Scouts and received the silver beaver award and was a member of the order of the arrow. He attended Fox Valley Technical College and Acme School of Tool and Die Design and was a former member of the American Society Tool Engineers. Don had worked for Rockwell International for 33 years. He was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and greatly enjoyed wood carving and loved time spent gardening. He greatly also enjoyed his family and will be remembered as a wonderful grandfather. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Don is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Dr. Christopher (Katherine) Simons of Two Rivers and Todd (Cheryl) Simons of Oshkosh; two daughters, Debra (Randy) Letarski and Vicki Simons, both of Oshkosh; a sister, Jane Smith of Waupaca; grandchildren, Jake, Sarah, Lucas, Ian, Emily, Andrew, Hayley and Torgny; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Mia, Runa and Winry. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Don was preceded in death by a brother, Neil Simons.
Private family services were held and inurnment took place a Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
