Donna Mae Miller's Obituary
On December 24, 2023, Donna Mae Miller, age 91, was granted her wish to be with her heavenly Father and her beloved husband, Richard Miller. She passed away while she was at the Bethel Home in Oshkosh. She was born in Oshkosh on October 26, 1932 to Harvey and Ila Gumz. She graduated from Oshkosh High School and worked at a local bank until she married. Donna then devoted herself to being a homemaker and taking care of her sons, Steven and Scott. She greatly enjoyed cooking, baking, canning and sewing. She was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
She is survived by her sons and three grandchildren, Jerrod, Joshua and Jona and is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby Niskala, Lorraine (Roman) Hiland, Jane (Raymond) Czeczok, Shirley (David) Fetter, Phyllis (Lowell) Steinhilber, Joyce (Gene) Hintze and brothers, Donald (Clara) Gumz and Harland (Marion) Gumz.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 12noon in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. in Oshkosh with Pastor Maggie Berndt-Dreyer officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Bethel Home and Sue Hipple for Donna's four and a half years of care. She was loved by all there and playing bingo three times a week with the residents was something she very much enjoyed and looked forward to.
