Doris (grandma to me) was a kind and loving person. She loved to tell stories and receive personalized letters. If you could find something, a card, or sticker, small token that connected her to something she did, she loved it. I once found a birthday card with a picture of cake on it, just like the cakes she made for birthdays. While I cannot be there for her services, I will forever be grateful for the days I was able to spend with her before she passed. She loved her family and they loved her. I will miss her greatly.

Doris was my aunt, having married my father's brother Harold Heling. I remember Doris as a plain-spoken woman who loved her husband and cherished her children. She is the last of her generation in my family to die. Doris was a beautiful soul and will, I'm sure be missed by all those who were close to her.
