Doris "Jen" J. Frank's Obituary
Doris “Jen” J. Frank, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Eden Meadows with her family by her side. Doris was born January 6, 1931, daughter of the late Elmer and Meta (Ziebell) Kent. She graduated from Washington High School in New London, WI in 1949. After high school, she worked for Doctor Herman Schmallenberg in New London. On November 25, 1950 she married the love of her life Bob Frank and were happily married for 70 years. They moved to Oshkosh to raise their family in 1954 where Doris spent most of her early years taking care of her three sons. She worked for Miles Kimball for nearly 50 years as a press operator until her retirement. Doris greatly enjoyed family gatherings and attending all the events of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and local casinos, polka music, watching the Brewers and the Packers, and a good game of smear with her family.
Doris is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her three sons; Steve (Stacey) Frank, Brian (Joni) Frank, and Greg (Sheila) Frank, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sister; Alice, two sisters-in-law; Betty and Elvera, and lifelong friend; Jack Canivet.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband; Bob on March 12, 2020, her parents, two brothers; Earl and David, sister; Beatrice, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services for Doris will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 12 pm in Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr., Oshkosh, WI 54904. Deacon Pat Gelhar will be officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh, WI 54901.
