DOROTHY CHRISTINE MAXWELL's Obituary
Dorothy C. Maxwell, age 100, of Oshkosh, died Monday September 18, 2017 at her home. She was born in Iola WI., on April 23, 1917 the daughter of the late Albert and Lottie Petersen Jensen. Dorothy married Richard Maxwell on November 8, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2007.She enjoyed traveling, writing, and painting. She belonged to the Butte des Morts Ladies Guild, Four Seasons Club, Oshkosh Public Museum Auxiliary, Oshkosh Senior Center Writing Class, and the Oshkosh public library. She has published several volumes of poetry and stories along with her water color illustrations.
Survivors include one son; John Maxwell, of Oshkosh, three daughters; Charlotte Esposito, of Waukesha, Louise Maxwell, Winneconne, Ellen Maddox, Alabama, six grandchildren; Scott Esposito, Craig (Mechelle) Esposito, Jay (Brittany) Maddox, Joni (Sam) Cobb, Brian (Leslie) Esposito, Andrew (Eileen) Maxwell, six great-grandchildren, one brother; Richard Jensen, of Oshkosh and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother; Kermit Jensen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Most Blessed Catholic Church (St Peter Worship site) on Saturday September 23, at 11:00 AM with the Rev Jerome Pastors officiating. Burial Will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Oshkosh Public Museum in her name.
