Dorothy June Poeschl's Obituary
Dorothy June Poeschl, age 91, of Oshkosh died peacefully at her home on June 24, 2016. Dorothy was born on June 21, 1925, the only child of Doris and Herb Niemann.
Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was married on April 3, 1948 to her life time partner of 63 years, Elmer Francis Poeschl (deceased). Dorothy and Elmer built their home in 1948, one of the first homes built on Oakwood Road. This is the home they raised their five children, one daughter and four sons. The eldest was Paula Louise Baier now decease. Dorothy leaves behind John of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas E. and (Lynda) of Oshkosh, Joseph F. (Terese) of Omro, and Charles A. (Patricia) of Oshkosh. There were also nine grandchildren, Lisa, Christopher (Molly), Lyndsay, Jana Jungwirth, Justin (Katie), Ross (Roxy), Nikki, Kari Jo, Gregory and seven great grandchildren, Ethan, Johnathon, Hayley, Rylan, Leon, Jude, and Eva.
Dorothy loved traveling and seeing new places, during her travels with her husband she went to Brazil, Hong Kong, Singapore, Aruba, and Hawaii, just to name a few of the places she was able to visit.
Dorothy was a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish. She was involved in the Craft club, where she enjoyed creating crafts and donating her time to raise funds for the Sacred Heart Parish. As she grew older and could no longer attend the group, she often said how much she missed it. Dorothy June Poeschl better known as (Pat) was a person whom loved to visit and socialize with others at Craft Fairs, Church Picnics, Chicken Roasts, or even a day or week at the family cottage with family and friends. Dorothy was a generous loving person loved by everyone she knew, she will be truly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11 am, at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church). Father Matt Simonar and Father William Van De Kreeke will be the celebrants. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 am until the time of Mass.
