Douglas Dahlke's Obituary
Douglas A. Dahlke, age 76, of Oshkosh passed away on Tuesday morning November 20, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Oshkosh on July 21, 1936 the son of Aldor and Ruth (Oehler) Dahlke. He served his Country in both the U.S. Army & U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Doug enjoyed motorcycling, building model airplanes, writing articles for magazines and dancing with his longtime companion Shirley. Doug was a faithful member of Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He is survived by his longtime companion Shirley Rucks and his daughter Hope Schuhart both of Oshkosh. His son Eric (Liz) Dahlke of Jacksonville, AK. Three brothers: Preston (Jackie) Dahlke of Oshkosh; Robert (Evie Bates) Woodland of Wisconsin Rapids and Rock (Jan) Woodland of Greensboro, NC. One sister Sally (Jack) Langland of Sarona, WI and one granddaughter Marie Dahlke. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Susan Woodland. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 24, 2012 at 11am at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church at 1206 Ontario St. Oshkosh, WI 54901. Rev. Paul Lidtke will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10am until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Doug's name.
