DuWayne Burnett's Obituary
DuWayne E. Burnett, age 61, of Oshkosh passed away on Monday afternoon May 12, 2014 at his residence in Oshkosh. He was born in Oshkosh on September 2, 1952 the son of Eldon and Agnes (Ruedinger) Burnett. On October 11, 1975 he married Shirley Eckstein at St. Vincent Catholic Church. He was a member of St. Jude Parish (St. Vincent Church). He was employed at Leach then at Oshkosh Tool for a total of 44 years. He loved spending time with his 2 grandkids and loved spending his weekends at the camper. DuWayne loved helping people his neighbors and also his friends at the campground. DuWayne is survived by his wife: Shirley Burnett of Oshkosh. Two daughters: Andrea (Kevin) Schilling of Neenah and Nichole (Nick) Rasmussen of Omro. One brother: George (Mary) Burnett of Fond du Lac. Two sisters: Pat (Jim) Ostertag and Mary (George) Meisel all of Oshkosh. Two grandkids: McKenna and Wyatt and his beloved dog "P-Nutt". He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Gail Nelson. Funeral services will be held at the Fiss & Bills Funeral at 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904 on Friday May 16, 2014 at 6pm. Father William Van De Kreeke will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4pm until 6pm. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in DuWayne's name. DuWayne's request was to please wear casual clothing for his visitation and funeral service.
