Edith Edie Tomasko-Boettcher's Obituary
Edith E “Edie” Tomasko Boettcher, age 86, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 27, 2021 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. She was born in Oshkosh on June 1, 1934 the daughter of the late Lemuel and Edith Besaw Pratt. Edie married Jerry Tomasko in Oshkosh on August 21, 1954. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1993. She married Harold Boettcher, who also preceded her in death on July 8, 2011.
Edie graduated from the Oshkosh Public School system. She was a longtime member of Scared Heart Catholic Church. She was employed by Pluswood and Morgan Doors for many years. Edie loved to read, diets Cokes, chocolate covered almonds, her favorite color was red, and of course her favorite bird was the Cardinal.
She is survived by three sons; Dan (Anita), of New Castle CO., Ron, Oshkosh, Tony (Lisa) Tomasko, Oshkosh, two daughters; Pauline (Tom) Hughes, Oshkosh, Cathleen Tomasko, Oshkosh, four grandsons; Matt, Jared (Kassidy Karch) Madison, Dane, one granddaughter; Brianna, and one great-granddaughter; Alyssa. She is further survived by many other relatives, and friends.
Edie was preceded in death by two daughters; Doreen, Jeanine Tomasko, one grandson; Daniel Tomasko (Little Dan), and one brother; David Pratt.
Visitation for Edie will be held in the Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W South Park) on Thursday April 22, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM with Chaplain Kathy Vander Veldon officiating. Service will be held at 4:30 PM. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Home for their many years of providing loving care.
