Edna Mitchell's Obituary
Edna Irene Sauer Mitchell passed into eternal life on August 25, 2014 due to natural causes. She was 88 years young and living in Cedarburg, WI, near family.
Edna was born in La Crosse, WI, on January 15, 1926 to parents Jacob and Margaret Sauer. She graduated from Central High School in La Crosse in 1944. Edna married Howard “Mitch” V. Mitchell on December 26, 1945 and had three sons.
Edna is survived by her children, Gary H. Mitchell of Port Washington, WI and Howard J. Mitchell of Manhattan Beach, CA; and her sister, Marilyn Wuttke of Holmen, WI. She is survived by eight grandchildren, Kristine A. Mitchell of Oshkosh, WI, Brian J. Mitchell of Milwaukee, WI, Amber L. Carrasco of Seattle, WA, Sarah D. Mitchell of San Francisco, CA, Mathew L. Mitchell of Shelby Twp., MI, Marie L. Foster of Fountain, CO, Joe V. Woida-Mitchell of Scottsdale, AZ, and Howard L. Mitchell of Manhattan Beach, CA. Edna is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, Jacob A., Ashlyn, Joey, Danny, Mary, Morgan, Jessica, Lucas, Charlie, Jacob M., and many other extended family members and friends.
Edna was predeceased by her husband, Howard “Mitch” V. Mitchell, her son, Ronald L. Mitchell, and her sister, Helen Sauer Anderson.
A visitation for Edna will be held at 11:00 AM September 13, 2014 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S Westhaven Dr., Oshkosh, WI, 54904, followed by the funeral at 1:00 PM.
