Elaine M. Hansen's Obituary
Elaine M. Hansen, 79, of Van Dyne, died Sunday December 22, 2024.
She was born in Oshkosh on May 14, 1945, the daughter of Carl Sr. and Alice Salzer. On September 6, 1969 Elaine married Jerry H. Hansen at St. John’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh. In her early years she worked as a nurse’s aide at Evergreen Manor in Oshkosh. After their first child, Randy, came she became a stay-at-home mom. She also belonged to the Van Dyne Lioness for a few years. She also was an avid casino patron, visiting many casinos in upper Wisconsin. She enjoyed spending time at the hunting cabin.
Elaine is survived by two sons; Randy (Tammy) Hansen of Malone and Russell Hansen of Van Dyne, two granddaughters; Skyler Hibicki and Sierra Hansen. Also survived by two brothers; Carl Jr. (Barb) Salzer and John (Nancy) Salzer, sisters-in-law; Nancy, Sadano, Judi Hansen, Judy Hansen, brother-in-law; Dale (Tonja) Hansen and many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law; DeWayne and Veletta Hansen, husband; Jerry, brothers; Bob (Nancy), Gerald, Harold, brothers-in-law; LaVerne, Wayne Hansen, sister-in-law Beverly (Clarence) Meilahn.
Visitation will be at Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W. South Park Ave. Oshkosh WI). The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00pm till 2:00pm on Monday December 30, 2024. Service will start at 2:00pm. Cremation has taken place.
