Elaine L. Wiklund's Obituary
Elaine L. Wiklund, age 85 of Oshkosh, formerly of Clarendon Hills, IL, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 in the Evergreen Retirement Community. On September 2, 1924 she was born in Chicago, the daughter of Louis and Mildred (Lange) Schramm. Elaine enjoyed playing Canasta, Bolivia and Bingo. She was an election judge. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being at her daugher's cottage in Wild Rose. Fishing was also a hobby of hers. On March 7, 1943 she married Glenn Wiklund in Texas. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1999.
Her memory will be cherished by her two sons: Wayne (Karen) Wiklund of Ft. Worth, TX and Gary (Patti) Wiklund of Pittstown, NJ and her daughter: Diane (Bob) Pouzar of Oshkosh; her seven grandchildren: John (Suzan) Wiklund, Greg Wiklund, Doug (Lisa) Wiklund, Erik Wiklund, Lindsay Wiklund, Jeff Pouzar and Kristen Pouzar; and her two great-grand-children: Katie and Jack Wiklund. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Ken Schramm.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive, with Rev. Thomas Willadsen officiating. Friends may greet the family from 12-noon to 4:00 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Evergreen Retirement Community or the Oshkosh Humane Society.
