Elbert W. Wiles' Obituary
Elbert W. Wiles, age 85, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation. He was born on September 22, 1926 a son of the late Claude and Myrtle (Brabizon) Wiles. Elbert served his country in the US Navy on the USS Herschel from 1944-46. He greatly enjoyed aviation, the love of his family, movies, karaoke and collecting cookbooks. Elbert will also be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished by his wife Dianne, of Oshkosh; a son, Rick (Pam Shaver) Wiles of Oshkosh; daughters, Linda Schabloski of Oshkosh, Jacqueline Harrington of Florida and Deborah (Jerry) Neustifter of Oshkosh; five stepsons, Gilbert Bawker of Edgerton, Gerald Bawker of Texas, Randy Davis of Texas, Robert Davis of Edgerton, Brian (Kathy) Davis of Janesville; a step daughter, Nancy Larson of Oshkosh; two brothers, Jim Wiles and Bob (Joyce) Wiles, both of Oshkosh; sisters, Doris Chartrand and Margaret Wilson, both of Oshkosh; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, other relatives and many very dear friends. He was preceded in death by first wife, Joan; second wife Jane; third wife, Mary; sisters, Gloria Wiles and Betty Wiles; a granddaughter, Andrea Schabloski. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
