Elisabeth Ketels' Obituary
Elisabeth Ketels (my mom, my angel) passed away on Sunday April 27, 2014. Born in Germany on October 27, 1921 our "Mutti" came to the United States after she retired to be closer to her daughter, Gisela. She was an amazing woman who was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed sewing (an excellent seamstress who had her own business in Germany), crossword puzzles, flowers and gardening, and her favorite soap opera "the young and restless". She also was a talented cook-her schnitzel with gravy and home fries were the best! But most of all she loved to take care of her family and friends. Left to mourn her passing are her daughter Gisela and son-in-law Mark, special friends David Wright and Ron Kuklinski as well as the many relatives back in Germany and acquaintances here in Oshkosh. Elisabeth faced death as she did life---straight on and with no fear! We all miss you greatly Mutti and look forward to the day that we can all be together again. "Thank you for your kind and godly touch/For helping me want to live and trust/Forever still you made and make a difference"Wir lieben dich Mutti! A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hanes and the amazing ICU staff at Aurora Hospital for all their assistance and kindness. We will have a celebration of Elisabeth's life at a later date.
