Elizabeth "Betty" Cleaver's Obituary
Elizabeth "Betty" L. Cleaver, age 89, of Oshkosh passed away on Thursday afternoon April 6, 2017 at her home. Betty was born in Big River, WI on July 23, 1927 the daughter of Mathias and Mathilda (Jansa) Schommer. Betty married Clement Cleaver on November 24, 1949. She was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church). Betty is survived by her children Chuck and Laurie Cleaver of Poplar, WI, John and Jan Cleaver of Oshkosh, Bill and Sandy Cleaver of Eau Claire, WI, Jeff and Kathy Cleaver of Oshkosh and Lisa and David Kircher of Wadsworth, IL. Daughter-in-law Eileen Cleaver of Black River Falls, WI. One sister Mary Jo Dulek of Omaha, NE. Twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clement in 1994, one son Frank, one great granddaughter, two brothers and eight sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 12 noon at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 6th & Knapp). Father Matt Simonar will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5 pm until 7 pm at the Poklasny Funeral Home 870 W. South Park Ave. Oshkosh, WI 54902. Visitation will also be held at the church on Tuesday from 11 am until the time of Mass. Private committal services will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Lourdes Academy at 110 N. Sawyer St, Oshkosh, WI 54902 or Wisconsin Right to Life at PO Box 1633, Appleton, WI 54912.
