Elizabeth L. Miller's Obituary
We are sad to announce Elizabeth L. “Betty”, “GG” Miller, 90, Oshkosh passed away Saturday Dec. 5, 2020, at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by the love of her family.
Betty was born Dec. 7, 1929 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Claude and Mary (Jungwirth) Boushele. She and Ralph “Spin” Miller were married Oct. 22, 1949 in Oshkosh. Spin preceded her in death on May, 9, 1993.
Betty worked for UWO as a laundress and seamstress at the Kolf Sports Center until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. After retirement Betty volunteered at Mercy Medical Center for many years and then at Aurora Medical Center, before moving to assisted living.
Betty was a loving mother to four kids, Son Robert (Dana) Miller of Oshkosh. Daughters Sue (Don) Neff of Salinas, CA, Paula (Jim) Potratz of Oshkosh and Nancy (Dave) Kraus of Pickett. Grandmother to 14 kids and GG to 17 kids. She was always the voice of reason and gave love to so many outside her family as well. Many of her kid’s friends called her Mom too. She loved Bingo, helping with all the crafts and gardening at the Waterford, where she resided for the past two years.
Betty will be missed by her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids along with her siblings Bill Boushele and Rita Eckstein, many nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers and caregivers.
Betty was greeted at heaven’s door by Spin and her sisters, Bea Holmquist, Marge Boushele, Jean Veith and brother Sylvester, along with several in-laws.
We would like to thank the staff and caregivers at the Waterford for the care and kindness they gave Betty over the past two years. A special thanks to Loretta for the friendship she provided.
