Elizabeth Young's Obituary
Elizabeth (Betty) M. Stoinski Young Betty passed away early in the morning on Friday, February 20, 2015. The daughter of Frank and Mary (Bezler) Jankowski, she was born in Chicago, IL
on October 5 1929. In Chicago, on July, 31 1948 she married Norbert L. Stoinski. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1965. On December 10, 1975, Betty married Walter (Bud) Young in Oshkosh, WI. They had 39 years of beautiful life filled with much love. In their years together they were able to enjoy many trips by air, land, and sea. While living in Oshkosh, Betty worked at American Excelsior as an office clerk.
Walter and Betty moved to Rice Lake, WI where Walter continued his career at American Excelsior. Betty became involved in the Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer at Lakeview Medical Center where she did patient escort and crocheted numerous baby blankets and caps. In their early years of retirement they resided in Grand Junction, CO where Betty enjoyed doing various types of needle work, taking walks, reading, and enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery from their patio. Betty enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wherever Betty lived she always welcomed the visits from family and friends. Betty is survived by her husband Walter (Bud), her two children, son David (Nancy) Stoinski of Winneconne, WI, daughter Teresa (Lee) Winkler of Oshkosh, stepdaughters Debbie (Jim) Lindloff and children of Chetek, WI, Denise (Peter) McHugh Mixon and children of Rocklin, CA, grandchildren Derek Stoinski and special friend Carla of Oshkosh, Wade (Sara) Stoinski and children of Fond du Lac, Rick (Beth) Winkler and children of Oak Park, IL, as well as many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, brother Harry, sisters Ann Chase, Victoria Suwalski, and Celia Kosti, also special in-laws, nieces, nephews and granddaughter Carrie Schumacher Smith. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Elizabeth Saturday, February 28 at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (St. Peter's site), 435 High Street in Oshkosh at 11:00 am. Friends and family may pay their respects Saturday from 9:00am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Elizabeth's name.
