ELLEN KOLPIEN's Obituary
Ellen V. Kolpien, age 73, of Oshkosh, died Monday February 5, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born in Billings MT, on March 10, 1944 the daughter of the late Floyd and Lena Dailey Larsen. Ellen married Michael Kolpien on September 28, 1968 in Billings MT. Before moving to Oshkosh Ellen was employed as a Teachers Aid, but her favorite job was that of “Mom”. She enjoyed knitting, cross-stitch, crafts, collecting pine cones, cheering on her son’s, in their sports and her daughter while she was in flag core. Ellen was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Oshkosh.
Ellen is survived by her husband; Michael Kolpien, of Oshkosh, three sons; Robert (Gretchen) Kolpien, Avon IN., David (Kristen) Kolpien, Fort Wayne IN., Thomas (Kelly) Kolpien, Beloit WI., one daughter; Margaret (Kris) Baltus, Larsen WI., twelve grandchildren; Marilyn, Elliot, Kade, Kaleb, Selah, Lilly, Myelle, Maddi, Katie, Samantha, Tyler, Zack, one great-granddaughter; Lacey, two sisters; Anna Lee Higgins, Harrisburg PA.,and Kathie (David) Bauer Whitefish MT. Ellen is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; Charles, Ray, Loren, Carl, and one sister; SR. Margaret Larsen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 10 at 11:30 AM in St Raphael Catholic Church (830 S. Westhaven Oshkosh) with the Rev Thomas Long officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday Morning from10:00 AM until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers donations in Ellen's name may be given to the American Lung association.
