Emily H. Neustifter's Obituary
Emily H. Neustifter, age 98, of Oshkosh was taken home peacefully in her sleep on Sunday March 13, 2016, from Eden Meadows. Emily was born on December 20, 1917 to Martin and Madeline (Zenisek) Kaelin. She married the love of her life Joseph "Butch" Neustifter on September 3, 1938 in Oshkosh, WI. They had four children together. Emy enjoyed being with her family and friends, watching the Green Bay Packers, especially when "her" Brett Farve played for them and the occasional overnight bus trip to the Island Casino. She was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church). She was employed for many years at Mercy Medical Center as a nursing assistant. She is survived by her three daughters; Barbara (Bill) Fleck, Joanne (Robert) Tesch Hucek and Debbie (Mark) Ratchman. Her son; Jerry (Debbie) Neustifter. One sister; Angela Demler, thirteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters; Jeanne Bernhard and Lillian Dunn. One brother; Richard Kaelin, two stepbrothers; John and Bernie Schlager. Great grandson; Aaron Fleck and grandson-in-law; John Mundinger. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 12 noon at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 6th & Knapp) Father Matt Simonar will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 am until the time of Mass. Committal services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh. The family would like to thank all of those at Eden Meadows and Generations Hospice for taking such good care of Emily in her final days. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Emily's name.
