Evelyn Corinne Moakler's Obituary
EVELYN CORINNE MOAKLER
In the presence of family, our beloved Mom Evelyn Corinne Moakler, age 91, of Oshkosh, experienced her homecoming to heaven on December 22 at 12:30 pm at her home at Arborview Manor. On May 17, 1925 Corinne was born at her parents home in Ironwood, Michigan, the daughter of David and Zella Tousignant. She graduated from Saint Ambrose High School and Gogebic Community College.
Evelyn enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 58 years to Edward John Moakler. Ed and Corinne were married September 30, 1950 in Ephrata, WA. Corinne was a loving devoted mother to 6 children and 6 grandchildren. Corinne enjoyed bible studies, painting, was a life long piano and organ player and loved roses. Corinne had a passion for sharing her faith with her family and friends. The joy of Corinne’s life was her family.
Corinne is preceded in death by her husband Edward D. Moakler, her parents David and Zella Tousignant, Marguerite Dvorsky (cousin) and Joe Dvorsky and Zella Mae Kolesar (cousin).
She is survived by Edward Moakler (Grace) of Lathrop, CA, Jeanette Moakler (Cary) Krickeberg of Menasha, WI, Patricia Moakler (Elaine Phillips) of Menifee, CA, Marian Moakler (Curt) Drexler of Hortonville, WI, Tim Moakler of Oshkosh, WI and Linda Moakler (Joel) Frost of Cheyenne, WY. Grandchildren are Amanda Krickeberg (Zach) Schaalma, Benjamin Krickeberg, Kevin Moakler, Lydia Frost, Molly Moakler and Megan Moakler.
Visitation will be held at 10 am Wed. Dec. 28, memorial service at 11:30 am at Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S. Westhaven) in Oshkosh WI with Curt Drexler officiating. Burial will be held the same day at 2pm.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff and Lisa (manager) at Arborview Manor for their selfless care for Corinne over the years and to Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
