FRANCES YOUNGWIRTH's Obituary
Frances (Fran) V. Youngwirth, age 101, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. She was born in Oshkosh on July 9, 1915, the daughter of the late Maurice and Anna Weber Herrle. Fran married Edward Youngwirth on September 6, 1938, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1998. She was employed at Neubergers and Lennox Candles. Fran enjoyed reading, puzzles, sewing, and dancing in her earlier years with her husband Ed. She was a lifelong member and volunteer at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Fran is survived by her daughter, Jane (Richard) Brickham of Omro; four grandchildren: Barbara (Michael) Wussow of Oshkosh; Michael (Kathy) Youngwirth of Adell; Lisa (Darren) Laabs of Winneconne; and Scott (Kristi) O’Connell of Oshkosh; eight great-grandchildren: Anthony and Hannah Wussow; Courtney Youngwirth; Hunter, Elizabeth, and Katelyn Laabs; and Molly and Kenzie O’Connell; one sister, Ann Baier of Pewaukee. Fran is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Youngwirth; her brother, Edward; and her three sisters: Mildred, Marion, and Florence.
Funeral services for Fran will be held at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home (865 South Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh) on Saturday May 6, at 12:30 PM with the Rev. William Van deKreeke officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of services.
