Francis "Frank" Joseph Benson's Obituary
Francis "Frank" Joseph Benson, age 79, passed away on Saturday afternoon February 13, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. Frank was born in Northern Ireland on August 1, 1941, the son of Alexander and Annie (Caldwell) Benson. Frank came to the United States in 1958 when he was 17 years old. Frank married Debra Ann Jones on September 20, 1985 in Oshkosh, WI. He was a faithful member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (St. Peter's Church) and was employed for many years as a machinist at the Leach company in Oshkosh, he then worked at Webex in Neenah and retired from there in 2004. He was an avid Packer fan.
Frank is survived by his wife, Debbie Benson of Oshkosh. Three daughters, Kimberly (Mike) Willard of Neenah, Kelly Benson of Oshkosh and Stacy (Rogell Roquemore) Benson of Oshkosh. One son, Dale (Becky) Benson of Oshkosh. Two sisters, Irene Hamilton of Bowmanville, Ontario and Ida (Edwin) Patterson of Waterloo, Ontario. Eight grandchildren, Aaron, Stephen, Jordan, Rayne, Claudia, Cesar, Alex and Gavin. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 11 am at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (St. Peter's Church) in Oshkosh. Father Jerome Pastors will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 am until the time of Mass. Committal services will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Oshkosh.
