Frank J "Zeke" Paulus Jr's Obituary
Frank J. "Zeke" Paulus, Jr of Oshkosh passed away on Monday morning April 6, 2020 at Eden Meadows. Frank was born in Oshkosh on April 1, 1925 the son of Frank and Lucille (Hansen) Paulus, Sr. After high school Frank served his Country in the U.S. Navy during WWII for 17 months in a Sub Chaser in the Mediterranean where he received a Bronze Star. Returning home to Oshkosh he married Vivian Steiner on November 26, 1947 in Oshkosh. Frank was employed at Morgan Doors for many years as a supervisor. Frank was known as "Mr. Bluegill" and loved fishing with his honey Ruth. Frank loved getting together with his buddies at 6 am every morning at Hardees to drink coffee. Frank was a faithful member of First English Lutheran Church and served as an usher for 60 + years.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Darlene (Arnold "Arnie") Streczynski of Hot Springs Village, AR. His siblings, Dorothy Flanigan of Oshkosh, Patricia Baer of Menomonee Falls and David (Anne) Paulus of Neenah. His favorite nephew and fishing partner, Mike (Robin) Flanigan and there 5 boys. Two grandsons, Kyle and Christopher Paulus.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his sweet wife Vivian in 1993, 4 brothers, Carlton, Russell, Robert, and Norman. 1 son, Donald, one sister Priscilla, special sweetheart, Ruth Weigand. Brothers-in-law, Wally Clark, John Flanigan and Robert Baer.
Private committal services will be held at Ellenwood Cemetery with immediate family. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be directed to First English Lutheran Church at 1013 Minnesota St. Oshkosh, WI 54902
