Frederick Zwicky's Obituary
Frederick A. Zwicky, age 76, of Oshkosh passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Bella Vista Assisted Living facility. In 2007 he suffered a stroke and worked very hard to move back into his home in 2010. He was able to stay at home with minimal assistance from 2010 to early October 2015 when he then went to Bella Vista. In 2012 he was also diagnosed with cancer. Fred was born on September 12, 1939 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the son of Fred and Leona Zwicky. He married Linda Erickson on February 4, 1967 , they had one daughter Lisa. On September 16, 1971 he married Judy Kope. Fred spent most of his career working for CR Meyer as a truck driver. His favorite interests include: Hunting, fishing, watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers play. He also enjoyed NASCAR races; his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. Fred also served his Country in the U.S. Army. Fred is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Greg) Latimer of Black Diamond, WA and one step-son Jeff (Kelly) Hansen of Oshkosh. Fred has four sisters include: Joan (Bernie) Hunt of Oshkosh, Shirley (Mike) Sanders of Appleton, Leona Jensen of Scandinavia and Betty Zwicky of Florida. Fred's grandchildren include: Justin, Tyler and Hailey. Fred also has twelve nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife Linda and his 2nd wife Judy on April 8, 1991. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 12 noon at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Rev. RaeAnn Beebe will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 am until the time of service. Committal services will be held at Lake View Cemetery. A special thank you goes out to Vicki Springborn and Jim Wheeler of Caring Connections who were a key part of his successful stay at home. Also a special thank you to all Fred's close family and friends.
