Genevieve Hugo's Obituary
Hugo, Genevieve V. Genevieve Virginia Hugo, 84, of Oshkosh passed away on November 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Medical Center. She was born into this world on January 28, 1930 in Oshkosh the daughter of Joseph and Theresa (Stadler) Jungwirth. She attended St. Vincent’s Catholic School. After graduating from High School in 1948 she started working for the Oshkosh National Bank, where she met many lifelong friends. On November 19, 1955 she married the love of her life, Donald R. Hugo and started raising a family. Her family was her greatest joy and her proudest achievement. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and cherished time with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; cooking for family and friends, happy hour, playing cards and just being together. She was a devout Catholic and always found time to volunteer at school and church. Later, when her own children were grown, some of her favorite memories were caring for other friend’s families. She will be sadly missed by her two children, Ann (Greg) Boese of Butte des Morts and John (Laurie) Hugo of Brookfield, WI; four grandchildren: Cody Boese, Nathan, Jason and Lauren Hugo. Also survived by: brother, Leonard Jungwirth; sister, Lucille Isham; sister-in-law, Phylis Jungwirth and one aunt, Grace Stadler. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 8, 1988 ; her parents; brother Bob; two sister-in-laws, Pat Strachan and Peggy Glander. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, St. Vincent site, 216 W. South Park Ave, The Rev. Wm VandeKreeke officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church Saturday, from 9:30 am until the time of services.
