It is with deep sorrow that I learned of Jerry’s passing from this earthly home to our eternal heavenly home. I share your sadness as you grieve his absence from your life/lives. Jerry was my/our personal Park and Ride when Sheila and I would head off for another international adventure. He provided the best door to door service; always with patience And a smile and sometimes even a breakfast at his favorite diner. I carry with me fond memories of those times with Nancy and Jerry. I know my father-in-law always liked to plan and be prepared in life. He enjoyed keeping track of what was going on in the lives of his friends and family. I was not able to be in the hospital at the end, but he gave his wife and sons an amazing gift – he was able to be part of decisions that were made, make it clear to his family that he loved them and was proud of them, and leave no question that he was ready to be at peace. Thank you Jerry – we will love and miss you!

Jerry and Nancy opened their home to me from fifth grade through college. I realized even then how special they are to not only give me a place to live but to make me feel like I was a part of their family. I can’t thank them enough for supporting me and helping me become the person I am today. I will always remember Jerry’s big smile, his big laugh, and his big heart.

I remember Jerry making many delivery and pick ups at General Mitchell airport to start and end my trips. One trip was around his birthday. He brought the three girls Nancy. Kathy and Shelia to the airport to visit our brother Dan in FL. The night before we all went to Hooters to celebrate his birthday. Plenty to eat and old fashions for all. The lovely servers helped to make his birthday special with a lot of attention, hats and singing. Being a small town Crivitz gal Hooters was a fun new experience! Rest in peace Jerry, to a great brother-in- law. Shelia
