Gerald (Jerry) Bruce Bennett's Obituary
Gerald (Jerry) Bruce Bennett, age 83, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away on March 7, 2021. He was born on July 20, 1937 in Oshkosh. Proceeded in death by parents Mary and Burton; loving wife Suzanne and brother Robert.
Jerry was a life-long resident of Oshkosh and loved the area. Generous and hardworking, Jerry spent years as a deliveryman for Canteen Corporation, RPS, Fed Ex and in his later years at Morton Pharmacy. With abundant stories and a smile always on his face, Jerry could make friends with anyone, giving as much to those as he got from the friendships he fostered. Jerry also enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling, golfing, the Badgers, and most of all his beloved Packers.
Jerry was a devoted father and will be missed dearly by his family. Survivors include son Jon of Watertown, WI, daughters Laurie (Marty) Halvorson of St. Paul, MN, and Amy Bennett of Sheboygan, WI; six grandchildren, Erik, Alex, Shawn, Emily, Lauren, and Andrew; and friend Bea Olson and family.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Bethel Home staff and volunteers who took such great care of Jerry this past year. The care, support, and compassion from the Bethel team was incredible.
Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bethel Home, 225 N. Eagle Street, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, 54902.
