Gerald Paul Kloiber's Obituary
Gerald P. Kloiber, "Jerry" was called home by God, to be with Grandma & Grandpa on Tuesday November 22, 2022. Jerry was born in Oshkosh on October 22, 1940, the son of the late Thomas and Eleanor Zarda Kloiber. After High School, Jerry joined the Air Force where he spent 4 years stationed in Ohio, as an inventory specialist. Returning home Jerry worked and retired from the UW-O Maintenance Dept. His most important task was taking care of his Mom Eleanor for decades after his Dad passed away in 1972. Jerry loved to read, and keep himself educated, especially in history. Enjoying the wildlife in his yard, and feeding the birds daily. While taking care of his pride & joy as an avid Gardener. He grew many vegetables and had several fruit trees in the yard, sharing his rewards with family and neighbors. Other enjoyments were drawing, painting, and his puzzle books, and watching old movies. Along with his trips to Las Vegas and Upper Michigan sightseeing and gambling. Which he did several times a year.
Making Rosaries for over 35 years, sending many to Third world countries and to any place that requested them. Jerry also donated his time for years working at Fr. Carr's during the Holiday seasons. He also donated to several Charities which he's remembering in the end. Along with Most Blessed Sacrament & St. Jude's of Oshkosh.
Jerry is survived by one brother; Thomas J (Marlene) Kloiber, of Kimberly WI., one sister; Karen (Mike deceased 2/22) McKinney, Dallas TX: Preceded in death by his sister Marilyn E. (Thomas) Schettl.
A special thanks to nephew Tommy, who helped Jerry for months before his passing, along with many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jerry will be held on Friday December 9, at 11:00 AM in St Jude The Apostle Catholic Church (Sacred Heart worship site) with the Rev Lou Golamari officiating. At 10:45 AM a Rosary recital will take place prior to the Mass. Full Military Honors will follow the Mass outside of church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
