Geraldine "Gerry" Warner's Obituary
Geraldine "Gerry" Warner, age 77, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning April 17, 2012 at her residence in Oshkosh surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer . Gerry was born on July 24, 1934 in Oshkosh, WI the daughter of Anton and Philomena (Jungbauer) Kallin. She married Jerome J. Warner, Jr at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh on September 25, 1954. She was employed at Oshkosh B'Gosh, Neuberger-King Industries & Oshkosh Tent and Awning. Gerry was a talented seamstress and loved sewing. She was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church), Ladies AM Vets Post #7 in Oshkosh, Ladies Dart Ball at Sacred Heart and Bowling at T&O Lanes. Gerry loved going to Polka dances, playing bingo, playing cards, and loved her bus trips to Branson, MO. Gerry is survived by one son: James (Donna) Warner of Wild Rose, three daughters: Cathy (Ken) Wendler of Oshkosh, Vicky (John) Staehler of Oshkosh and Sheri (Dale) Applebee of Oshkosh. Two brothers: Anton (Donna) Kallin of Oshkosh and Stanley Kallin of Rock Springs, WI. Two sisters: Florence Kirk of Fond du Lac and Mary Ann (Donald) Sieger of Oshkosh. Special sister-in-law: Sandy (Larry) Ebel of Oshkosh, Aunt: Ethel Penzenstadler of Oshkosh and special friend: Barb Babcock of Oshkosh, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jerome on August 16, 1994, brother-in-law: Richard Warner and her uncle John Penzenstadler. Gerry's entire family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a very important part of her life. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 20, 2012 at 11:30am at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 6th & Knapp in Oshkosh, WI). Father Matt Simonar will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the Poklasny Funeral Home on Thursday April 19, 2012 from 4pm until 7pm. Visitation will also be held on Friday at the church from 10am until the hour of Mass. Committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to American Cancer Society. "I did my best in life and I love them all very much. God loves you". Gerry.
