Glen Francis' Obituary
Glen Francis, age 91, of Oshkosh, passed away on Tuesday morning January 10, 2023 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. Glen was born in Ironwood MI., on January 17, 1931 the son of the late Samuel and Hilder Anderson Francis. Glen served his country in Korea serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Joan Wawrzinski in St Peter’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh on September 1, 1956. She preceded him in death on December 12, 2017. Until the time of his retirement Glen was employed for 35 years by JW Hewitt Machine in Neenah as a Machinist. Glen was a member of St Peter’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh and also volunteered at the Town of Algoma Fire Department for 30 years..
Glen is survived by one son; Gregg (Anne) Francis, of Oshkosh, one daughter; Debra (Tom) Mugerauer, Oshkosh one grandson; Jacob Francis, Oshkosh, and nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister; Dorothy Martino, and one nephew Tim Martino.
Funeral services for Glen will be held on Monday January 16, at 11:00 AM in Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S Westhaven Oshkosh) with the Rev Jerome Pastors officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers donations in Glen’s name may be given to The Town of Algoma Fire Department 2622 Omro Rd Oshkosh WI 54904
