Gloria A. Bauer's Obituary
Gloria Ann Bauer, 91, of Oshkosh entered into the arms of the angels on February 5th, 2026. She was born on August 25th, 1934. Our hearts are broken but she is now reunited with those she missed that have gone before her.
Gloria married Victor Bauer on June 21st, 1952. They were able to celebrate 70 years of marriage in June of 2022. Gloria was proud of and loved each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked hard to support her family, holding several clerical jobs, eventually retiring from J. J. Keller. Her passions included playing bridge, camping and wintering in Texas. She especially loved playing card games with her family. Gloria also enjoyed traveling and took many trips with her children.
Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jeff (Vicki) Bauer, Ron (Lynne) Bauer, Vicki (Al) Wenig and Sue Bauer (and her boyfriend, Joe Schuster). She also was dearly loved by her eleven grandchildren, Andy (Rachael) Bauer, Kevin (Sarah) Bauer, Jeremy (Ingrid) Bauer, Matthew Bauer, Melissa (Scott) Bergman, Megan (Nick) Lingvay, Bill (Kayla) Gengler, Alec (Ashley) Hooyman, Lexi Hooyman (and her fiancé Samuel Moore), Aaron Bauer and Nicholas Bauer, ten great grandchildren and her sister Carol Sobojinski and many other relatives.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Victor, her parents, brothers Robert and David, sister Judy, grandson Jonathan and many other loved ones. We wish to extend a special thank you to Bella Vista of Oshkosh and St. Croix Hospice. The special care they took of Gloria will always be remembered.
Gloria will be greatly missed by all of us. A light has gone out in our lives, but her memory will remain bright.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 13th at Most Blessed Sacrament (St Peter’s Site) 449 High Ave, Oshkosh. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a mass to follow.
