Gordy and Lorraine were my neighbors for many years. I was 4 years old when they moved in. They never had children of their own, but treated me as if I was their son. They played with my brother and I did things with us and took us places. Our family spent many hours visiting with them in their backyard. Not to mention the annual summer corn roast and Christmas party. After I moved away I always stopped by for a visit and a beer. We could not have asked for better neighbors. Their hospitality was second to none. I always admired Gordy and Lorraine's work ethic, humility, and courage. Gordy and Lorraine will be greatly missed. My visits to Oshkosh will never be the same. May they rest in peace.
