Grace M. Priebe's Obituary
Grace M. Priebe, age 95 of Oshkosh, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh. On November 1, 1913 she was born in Merrill, the daughter of Herman and Amanda (Utecht) Bettin. For 25 years she worked as a supervisor for Miles Kimball. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ. On September 3, 1932 she married Marvin Priebe in Oshkosh. He passed away on September 11, 1963. Grace enjoyed doing embroidery, watching the Brewers, playing cards, fishing, watching and feeding the birds, especially Cardinals, but she loved spending time with her family, especially the great-grandchildren. Survivors include her son: Kenneth Priebe of Washington, D.C.; her son-in-law: Robert Bauernfeind of Oshkosh; her brother: Lester Bettin of Oshkosh; her grandchildren: Mark (Mary) Bauernfeind, Nancy (Jim) Bishop and Kevin Bauernfeind; and two great-grandchildren: Ashley and Mark Bauernfeind, Jr. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Marlene Bauernfeind on September 17, 2008 and two sisters: Ellen and Margaret. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2009, in the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr., with Rev. Linda Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Friends may greet the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home.
