Grace Sitter's Obituary
Grace Marian Sitter, age 96, of Oshkosh passed away on Monday morning February 6, 2012 at Bethel Home. She was born in Oshkosh on October 3, 1915 the daughter of Matthew and Grace (Reichenberger) Matsche. She married Eugene Sitter at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh on August 29, 1940. She was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Catholic Church), member of the Homemakers Club, member of the Ladies Social Club of Sacred Heart. Grace was employed at Mueller Potter Drug Store in Oshkosh for many years. She is survived by her son James (Cynthia) Sitter of Oshkosh. One sister Lucille Klug of Butte des Morts. Eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene on June 14, 1993, three sons Donald, Steven and Lawrence, four sisters Meta, Valeria, Bernette and Virginia and one brother Marvin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Catholic Church on the corner of 6th & Knapp in Oshkosh) on Thursday February 9, 2012 at 11am. Father William Van De Kreeke will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10am until the time of Mass. Private committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Oshkosh. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Grace's name. Grace's family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Home for the wonderful care and compassion that was given to Grace for the past 4 years.
