Gregory Lynch's Obituary
Gregory John Lynch, age 43, died on March 23, 2009 at the Bethel Home in Oshkosh. He was born on August 17, 1965 in Madison, Wisconsin, to Daniel and Dolores (Flasch) Lynch. He graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1983 and from Fox Valley Technical College with an Associates Degree in Hospitality Management. Greg worked for Woodman's Supermarket in Appleton for 17 years. Greg's great passion was singing karaoke in Appleton, Green Bay and surrounding communities. He was involved with the Sunrise Troopers while in High School. He also sang with Tobit XIII at Franciscan Courts in Oshkosh. Greg will be remembered for his great sense of humor. His memory will be cherished by his parents, Daniel O. and Dolores A. (Flasch) Lynch of Oshkosh; his paternal grandmother, Helen (Wagner) Lynch of Marinette; a brother, Shawn (Susan Landers) Lynch of Madison; sisters, Laura (Roger) Hinze of Sunland, California and Sarah (Andrew) Olson of Cross Plains, Wisconsin. He is also survived by a nephew, Ian Hinze and a niece, Calista Hinze both of Sunland, California; nieces Savannah and Alexandra Olson of Cross Plains and he is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many very dear friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bernard Lynch and maternal grandparents, Alois and Vera (Schultz) Flasch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Greg on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh with the Reverend Fr. Doug LeCaptian as celebrant. A time of visitation and support will be held for the Lynch family on Friday evening at the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and also again at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Parish Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Isadore Catholic Cemetery in Clyman, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Midwest Wisconsin, St. Raphael Catholic Church or St. Joseph's Food Pantry in Appleton.
