Harold Suess' Obituary
Harold R. Suess, age 90, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday morning June 20, 2012 at Park View Health Center. Harold was born on January 22, 1922 in Oshkosh the son of William F. and Katherine M. (Oberhansel) Suess. Harold was married to Bernice B. Carter on October 15, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Harold served his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed for many years as a truck driver for Thoma oil company. He was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish(Sacred Heart Church), member of the VFW/American Legion. Harold was also a member of the Oshkosh Police Auxiliary for 30+ years and rose to the rank of Captain. Harold is survived by his wife Bernice Suess , two sons Mark R. (Deb) Suess and Michael J. (Karrie) Suess both of Oshkosh. One sister Leona Stueber of Oshkosh and one grandson Timothy J. Suess of Oshkosh, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Melissa K. Suess, four brothers William, John, George and Raymond, one sister Katherine and also his in-laws James and Elsie Carter. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 22, 2012 at 7pm at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home @865 S. Westhaven Drive. Father William Van De Kreeke will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 4pm until 7pm. Committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Harold's name. Harold's family would like to thank Park View Health Center Prairie Side South for the wonderful care that was given to Harold.
