Harriette Yearwood's Obituary
Harriette A Yearwood, age 96 of Pickett WI., died Thursday March 13, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born in Spirit Lake IA., on August 17, 1917 the daughter of the late Roy R and Edna Thompson Holmes. Harriette married Paul Yearwood in Oshkosh on January 13, 1937. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1997. She was a member of the local Homemakers Club, and was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oshkosh.
Survivors include five children; Nancy Allen, of Oconomowoc, Jack (Donna) Yearwood, Oshkosh, Richard Yearwood, Land O’ Lakes, Raymond (Fiancee Carol Moran) Yearwood, Oshkosh, Sue Ellen (John Borst) Williams, Neshkoro, two sisters; Faye Krueger, Boyceville, WI., Sally Jennings, Medford, WI., sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Harriette is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters; Edna Petersen, Alice Matthews, one brother; James Holmes, one son-in-law; Morris Allen, one daughter-in-law; Sharon Yearwood, and one granddaughter; Patricia sue Quicho.
Funeral services for Harriette will be held in The Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W South Park) on Monday March 17, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Thomas Willadsen officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Prairie cemetery in Pickett. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 AM until the hour services.
