Hope H Marin's Obituary
Hope Harriet Marin, age 83, passed away on February 5, 2024, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was born on January 24, 1941, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Molly and Earl Hansen. Hope was preceded in death by her parents, Molly and Earl Hansen, her three brothers Tom Hansen, Bill Hansen, and Earl Hansen, and her sister Carol Sitzberger. She is also reunited with her beloved husband of 51 years, Richard Marin Jr.
Hope enjoyed being a homemaker, making a variety of delicious meals without the help of a cookbook. Her beef roast and dumplings and potato soup were among the families favorites. She loved baking cookies, strudels, cakes, and brownies for her husband and family. Hope's love of arts and crafts was evident throughout her home, adorned with handcrafted treasures that reflected her meticulous handiwork. She was a passionate reader, favoring Daniel Steel novels. Hope's social circle may have been small, but the impact she made was immense. From friendly chats with the cashier at the grocery store to spontaneous conversations with strangers, she possessed a unique ability to brighten even the briefest encounters. Her kindness was genuine, her laughter infectious, and her childlike quality was something most couldn't help but love.
Hope is survived by her son, Mark Marin, daughter, Tammy Bero, and son-in-law Robert Bero. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Jake Marin, Bailey Bero, and Cooper Bero.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Hope on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10 am in St. Jude Parish , St. Vincent Catholic Church located at 1225 Oregon Street Oshkosh, WI 54902. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 am until the time of Mass. Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Epilepsy Foundation. Donations can be made online at https://give.epilepsy.com/page/33651/donate/1?locale=en-US.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home for their assistance during this difficult time. They also wish to express their heartfelt appreciation for the kindness and excellent care their mother received at Bella Vista of Eden Senior and Assisted Living Facility as well as St. Croix Hospice for their outstanding care.
