Irene L. Johnson's Obituary
Irene L. Johnson, age 78, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Bethel Home. She was born on April 9, 1935 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Charles and Cecilia Ruby. She was married to Charles Johnson and he preceded her in death. Irene greatly enjoyed baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs and also enjoyed doing puzzles and time spent with family and friends.
Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Falk of Oshkosh and Jean (Henry) Wichman of Mountain, WI. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Karen Perdue; siblings, George, Ralph, Lawrence, Lucile Kinderman, Laura Krause and Marian Jungwirth.
Funeral services for Irene will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in the Poklasny Funeral Home, 870 W. South Park Ave. in Oshkosh. The Reverend William Van DeKreeke will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established.
