Irene M. Plantz's Obituary
Irene M. Plantz, 93, of Pickett died Monday, March 26th, 2018 at her home.
She was born Oct. 28, 1924 in Allenville, WI, the daughter of Benjamin and Clara
(nee Eckstein) Harrison. She married Clifford Plantz on Oct. 25, 1947 in
Oshkosh.
Irene was a faithful, dedicated member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Pickett. She was a member of Ladies Aid and enjoyed participating as a church
greeter and on altar duty. She enjoyed singing in the church choir. For many
years she was an election clerk for the Town of Utica. She was a devoted wife,
a caring mother and grandmother, and an excellent baker. She also enjoyed
gardening and growing flowers.
Irene's survivors include her sons Fred of Spring Green, Steven (Kate Luebke) of
Pickett, and Richard of Pickett; her grandson Ethan Plantz (Morgan Weir) of Fond
du Lac; her granddaughter, Rachel Greuel (Michael) of Milwaukee; her
sister-in-law, Margie Bradley of Oshkosh; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She
was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Alan, a
daughter-in-law, Brenda, brothers Raymond, Alvin, and George Harrison, and
sisters Mildred Kilbey and Leona Knaggs.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Grace
Evangelical Lutheran Church, 508 County Road M, Pickett with Pastor Judd Krohn
officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on March 31st from 9
a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Liberty Prairie Cemetery,
Pickett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Pickett.
