Jack Mingus' Obituary
Jack P. Mingus, 81 of Oshkosh died Friday, July 25th 2014 at his home surounded by his family. He was born January 6th, 1933 in Oshkosh, the son of the late Fred and Emma (Hayes) Mingus. On October 6th, 1956 he maried Jean A Ruddy at St. Mary's Church by Bishop Grellinger. Jack was employed for many years as a machinist at Rockwell International and retired from the Wisconsin Resource Center. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and was a Korean Navy war veteran. He is survived by his wife Jean, two daughters Gayle Burns and Marge Seibel, both of Oshkosh. Three sons, Steve (Ann) Mingus of Azle, TX, Dan (Linda) Mingus of Wild Rose and Paul (Kristi) Mingus of Burnsville, MN. His grandchildren Kelly (Dave) Mingus of Lauderdale, MN, Jenny (Chris) Staysniak of Boston, MA, Callie (Scott) Hartel of Las Vegas, NV, Sarah (Cole) Gilmore, Rachel Burns, Nick Burns, Tyler Mingus, Courtney Mingus, Caytlen Mingus, Kati (Eric) Probst, Ben Seibel and Andy Seibel, Christopher and Brynne Mingus. His great grandchildren, Fiona Mingus, Josephine Mingus, and Hudson Gilmore. He is further survived by his beloved dog Molly. He was preceeded in death by his brothers, Robert and George, and sisters Hazel, Dorthy, Evelyn, Edna and Grace. A memorial mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday July 29th, 2014 at 5:00 pm at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 830 S Westhaven Dr. The Rev. Doug LaCaptain officiating. Family and friends may call at the church Tuesday from 3:00pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
