Jacqueline Marie Gerlach's Obituary
Jacqueline M. “Jacquie” Gerlach, age 79, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at her home on August 24, 2022 with her family at her side. She was born on January 7, 1943 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late George and Barbara (Paulick) Genal. She graduated from Lourdes High School and had also graduated from Constance Beauty School and followed that profession for a time. She married Richard L. “Rick” Gerlach on July 23, 1966. Rick preceded her in death on October 5, 2017. Jacquie had also worked for and retired from Square D Manufacturing. She and Rick loved traveling and she enjoyed bowling, archery with Rick, golfing and watching golf.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by two sisters, Carol Fenrich of Oshkosh and Barbara Mielke of Green Bay; along with numerous nieces and nephews, especially Gary (Lynne) Fenrich and Brenda Schlaack; two brothers-in-law, Quintin (Mary Ellen) Gerlach and Doug Gerlach also survive along with a sister-in-law, Candy (Jim) Dobson; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, George and Daniel Genal and an infant sister, Mary Carol.
Funeral services for Jacquie will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh with the Rev. Jerome Pastors officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 am until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Moments Hospice and Home Care Assistance staff's for their help and care.
