James "Jim" Czarnecki's Obituary
James “Jim” J. Czarnecki, 74, of Oshkosh, died in Hospice care at Mercy Medical Center on Thursday, December 13, 2012.
He was born on September 27, 1938, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Joseph and Loretta (Huls) Czarnecki. He attended Boys Technical High School in Milwaukee and three years of undergraduate courses at UW-Milwaukee and UW-Oshkosh. On May 2, 1969, Jim married Carol Albinussen in Washington, D.C. Jim was a mechanical design draftsman and did contract work for a number of companies in the Fox Valley, including Giddings & Lewis, Allis-Chalmers, and Curwood, Inc. In addition, he worked for Conservation Services Group installing energy-conserving products in homes.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carol, and two daughters, Lynn Ann (Derrick) Wagner of Portland, OR, and Ann Czarnecki (Matt Sutterer) of Iowa City, IA, one granddaughter, Rosalina Wagner of Portland, OR, and a grandson expected in 2013. Also surviving Jim are his two brothers, William (Gale) Czarnecki of Waukesha, WI, and Michael Czarnecki (Eva Simic) of Crown Point, IN, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 2 p.m. at Fiss & Bills – Poklasny Funeral Home on South Park Ave. in Oshkosh, with Rev. Roger Bertschausen officiating. A visitation from 1-2 p.m. will precede the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Jim’s name.
The family appreciates the compassionate care Jim received from the staff and doctors at Mercy Medical Center.
