James D Hoffmann's Obituary
James D. “Jim” Hoffmann, age 63, of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 19, 2015. He was born on January 29, 1952 in Oshkosh, a son of the late Alfred and Irene M. (Hafemeister) Hoffmann. He had worked for and retired from the Bemis Corporation after 30 years of service. Jim greatly enjoyed the outdoors, that of hunting and fishing and bird calling. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by and his memory will be cherished by two sons, David Hoffmann of Oshkosh and Derik (fiance, Tanya Koontz) Hoffmann of Fond du Lac; two daughters, Hanna (Jim) Griese of Winneconne and Lindsey Hoffmann of Oshkosh; four sisters, Cheryl Kreuter of Fort Myers, Florida, Mary Ann Bennett, Omro, Linda (James) Plamann of Little Chute, Michelle (Ezz) Hoffmann-Ismail of Oshkosh. He is further survived by five grandchildren, Conner Cornetti, Aburey March, Madelin, Ella and Marcus; neices, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen on October 13, 2015; his first wife, Diane Hoffmann on June 26, 1978 and a sister, Laura Hoffmann.
Funeral services for Jim will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. with the Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
