James "Jim" A Diener's Obituary
James “Jim” A. Diener, age 59 of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. He was born April 20, 1962 to Herman and Magdalen (Lichtfuss) Diener in Oshkosh, WI.
Jim was a Veteran who served in the Navy in the 80’s where he was a proud shipmate on the USS Baton Rouge. He was also a fantastic baker who spent the last 15 years working and training new bakers at Festival Foods. But what we will remember him most for, was his love of his family. Family was so important to him and he always made sure to check in on us if he hadn’t heard from us in a few days. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and working on projects in his garage. He was frequently planning dinners and small adventures with his children and grandchildren and was always up for some fun. He was the type of man who was always there for his children and grandchildren, no matter how small the problem was. He had a very special relationship with his grandson who misses him dearly. They would frequently be found racing their RC cars around the neighborhood. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his children, grandchildren and siblings.
Jim is survived by his two children, Brian Diener and Stephanie (Ruben) Amestoy, grandchildren, Miles, Lillian, and Ava Amestoy. Brothers Herman (Patty) Diener, David (Colleen Linstead) Diener, Greg (Sharon) Diener, sisters Mary Dashner and Diane (Mark) Yarbro, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Magdalen Diener.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on December 4, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Oshkosh, WI with a celebration of life to be held in the spring of 2022.
