James "Jim" S. Hopp's Obituary
James S. Hopp, age 87 of Oshkosh passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at his residence. Jim was born on February 3, 1934 the son of Theodore and Anna (Stamborski) Hopp.
He attended St. Peter’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Oshkosh High School. Jim was a Marine Corp Veteran serving from June of 1952 to May of 1958. He graduated from U.W. Stout and taught Technical Education for 32 years at Slinger High School. Jim married Mary Elizabeth Uder on November 25, 1965.
Jim is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary in 2020, four sisters, Dorothy Sosinski, Genevieve Nicholson, Patricia Heise, Bette Richardson and one brother, Theodore Hopp, Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 11 am at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (St. Peter’s). Father William Hower will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 am until the time of Mass. Committal services will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Oshkosh.
