Great memories.
While visiting my cousin Linda at Evergreen Manor I met this wonderful man outside the rehab area. I was sitting at a table alone and he came over and asked to join me. His spirit and sense of humor was so amazing! He talked and told jokes and just made me laugh until my face hurt. I shared this experience with Linda and asked who this man was. She had no idea and since he never would say what his name was we couldn't find him again. After a little investigation Linda found out that his name was Jim and he played the piano every now and then. That was all we had for awhile. When I returned to Texas I shared my story with my husband. Several months later we drove up to Wisconsin for a family gathering and I was determined to find this lovely man and introduce him to my husband and family. Well, as Linda was giving us a tour of the Manor we found him!! He was sitting in the main entry way!! I just couldn't believe it!! We all ended up at the piano playing songs, telling jokes and singing. Everyone just LOVED him!! He lifted our spirits, touched our hearts and entertained us. As we all said our good-byes and got ready to go back to our respective states, (Texas/ Kentucky) Another family member Tom, just had to see him and visit one more time. He searched until he found him again and they had yet another wonderful chat. Jim filled our time there with amazing sincere joy. Although we did not know him well, we loved him. I am so sorry for your loss. I just know that he is looking down on us right now shaking his head and says, "oh quit that crying!" and playing an old tune on his piano in the sky. I am thankful that God shared him with us and he will be sorely missed.
Prayers and many blessings,
Joel and Marci Ramirez,

I've known Jim from Oshkosh High School. We were good friends for a long time. I always remember his sense of humor, wit, and his wonderful music. Many times over the years I would go to eat where he was playing. We were both into piano and accordion playing. I will miss his very much. I'm sure that he will keep the ones in heaven with him either singing, dancing or at least tapping their toes to his music. God Bless you Jim.

He had a very wonderful sense of humor & kept me on my toes. When he played our hospital grand piano it echoed thru the halls & people came to sit & listen. He certainly was a fixture here at Aurora & for his music, personality & smile. Even with all the pain & suffering that he endured he was still Jim. Prayers Ascending that you do not give St Peter too hard of a time up there!
I will miss your presence in the halls of Mercy! I looked forward to seeing you, you had a way of making me smile! I loved all your jokes. I hope your entertaining everyone in heaven with jokes and tickling the ivory. Paula Wenhardt
